What it costs: three packages, quoted in writing after the free review.

No two Chamberlain files are alike: one board or two, staff data or patient charts, a site packet of four pages or forty, a file that has never been filed or one the board has already returned. So the price is quoted to the file in front of us, not read off a menu, and it is a fixed fee, in writing, before you decide anything.

The free review comes first and costs nothing, whichever package you choose, and whether you choose one at all.

Each package is a point on the same line. Determination & Plan stops at the first station; The Complete File carries to the second; Full Handover carries all the way to both approvals in writing.

The reading, in writing, that every file needs before a page is drafted. Which boards you answer to; the QI-or-research determination each board is likely to make and why; the order of operations and which board to open first; the site board’s submission calendar in writing; and the document plan, every document each board will want, listed against the board that wants it.

How the quote works

Four steps, and the first two cost nothing.

1. The free application review

You tell us where the project stands; a paragraph and a site name is enough. Rebecca reads it against both tracks. There is no fee and no obligation, and the review is the same whether or not you go on to engage us.

2. The written read, and the quote

You receive a written read: what each board will want, what is missing, which door to knock on first, and, where the answer is one board and a clean file, that you can file it yourself. With it comes a fixed-fee quote for each of the three packages, in writing.

3. You choose, or you don’t

Pick a package, or take the read and go. If you engage, the engagement letter names the package, the fee, the documents and the boards it covers; nothing outside the letter is billed.

4. A fixed fee, start to finish

No hourly billing, no add-ons. A board that returns the file does not change the fee under Full Handover; the revision response is part of the package. What moves the quote is the shape of the file on day one, not what the boards do to it afterwards.

What the quote reads: how many boards stand in the path, whether the project touches identifiable patient data or patients directly, the size of the site’s packet, whether the file has already been returned by a board, and how far the project has been framed. None of that is guessed from a form; it is read from your project.

What every package carries, and what none does

Why is there no price on the site?

Because the fee is quoted to the file, not to a menu: one board or two, staff data or patient charts, a four-page site packet or a forty-page one, a first filing or a returned one. Publishing one figure would be wrong for most files.

What the site does publish is the shape of the deal: three named packages, each a fixed fee quoted in writing after the free review, no hourly billing, no add-ons. The figure itself comes back with the written read, usually for all three packages at once, so you can see what each step down the line is worth to you.

Is the application review really free, and what do I get?

Yes. You get a written read of your project against both tracks: what each board will want, what is missing, which board to open first, and a fixed-fee quote for each package. There is no obligation, and if one board is all you need the review says so.

The review is the same whether or not you engage us afterwards. It is how the practice starts every file, including the ones that end with “file it yourself”.

Can I start with Determination & Plan and move up later?

Yes. The packages are points on one line, so Determination & Plan is credited when you move to The Complete File, and The Complete File when you move to Full Handover; the step up is quoted in writing like everything else.

Most professionals who move up do so at the moment the site’s packet turns out to be larger than expected, or when a board returns the file. Both are ordinary; neither is a surprise on the invoice.

If a board returns the file, is the revision response extra?

Not under Full Handover: revision responses, amendments and continuing review on either board are part of the package until both approvals are in writing. Under Determination & Plan or The Complete File, where you are filing and answering the boards yourself, a revision response can be quoted as its own fixed fee or as the step up to Full Handover.

A returned file is not a rejection. The board lists what it wants changed; the response quotes every point, answers it, and ties the answer to the revised page. How it works walks through it.

Do you bill by the hour, or for calls and emails?

No. Every package is a fixed fee named in the engagement letter, and nothing outside the letter is billed. Calls, emails, the readings and the replies to the boards are inside the fee, not on a meter.

The only thing that changes a fee is a change to what the engagement covers, for example a second site added to the project, and that is quoted in writing before it is done.
